Hikvision Hybrid SAN provides a dual-mode storage platform that operates as a conventional IP SAN or FC SAN array and also supports direct streaming, in which cameras and recorders write video straight to the array without passing through a recording server. This removes a point of failure and reduces server count in large deployments. The platform includes recording lifecycle tools such as locking and archiving footage for evidential retention, and is compatible with leading third-party VMS platforms.
